Chocolate chip cookies are forever - and this
one has my son's approval! At seventeen, he is considered an expert on
chocolate chip cookies.

1 teaspoon Baking Soda
1 teaspoon Salt
1 Cup (2 sticks) margarine or butter, softened
to room temperature
1 Cup Golden Brown Sugar
1/2 Cup granulated Sugar
2 teaspoons Vanilla (pure)
2 large Eggs
2 Cups Semi-Sweet Chocolate chips
1/2 Cup Walnut pieces (chopped)
Beat margarine or butter and sugar until smooth.
Add rest of ingredients (all but the chocolate chips and nuts) and mix
well. Add chocolate chips and nuts and stir through batter. Chill.
Preheat oven to 375o F.

cookie sheet. Place in middle of oven. Bake at 375o F. until golden (cooked
in center). Approximately 10-12 minutes. Cool slightly before moving to
a cooling rack
Serve warm with cold milk for best effect.
