Lethal Killer Baker's Chocolate Brownies !

2000

May 5, 2000

Modified slightly from the recipe on the box.

4 squares of Baker's Unsweetened chocolate
3/4 cup of butter (I used 1/2 C up of butter and 1/4 cup Blue Bonnet - because I was out of butter)
Put in a glass bowl - large - with a plate on top and microwave 2 minutes. Then stir with a whisk until the chocolate is metled.
Stir in 2 Cups of Sugar.
3 eggs (large)
1 teaspoon vanilla (real - not artificial)
1 cup flour (Gold Medal)
1 Cup chopped walnuts - I used 2 Cups.

Prepare a 13x9" pan - metal - with canola oil and sugar (smear on the oil - shake the sugar over it.) Spread in the brownies and bake at 350 until a toothpick in the center comes out clean. About 35 minutes. LETHAL!

Of course, if I wasn't dieting I would serve this with French Canilla ice cream. :-)

Of course, my son has now gone on the warpath and told me that I was a terrible mother - that wail "Where did these come from!" - he can't keep his hands off of them. Neither can I. Last time I bake them.

Of course I was told I am usually a terrible cook - he can't figure out how I made these! (Oh. Right!) But he is correct, we each have 30 pounts or so to lose. I must refrain from cooking. (Normally my son hates mixed vegtables and meat with sauce on it - and I love both. Hence the terrible cook syndrom.)

But these are soo good!

Variations - if you really want to be bad - add semi-sweet chocolate chips.

Even worse - also add cut up Marichino cherries.

And then spend about 6 hours on the Nordictrack!
