Not Enough Fabio!

Fabio's new commercial has run across my TV screen. It's a send-up of Sleeping Beauty in which the young, handsome prince smears ICBINB on the woman's lips and the little people all cheer. The couple ride away in a wagon driven by.... Fabio of course, being cheeky and then waving goodbye as the wagon lumbers off.
Oh dear!
Not enough screen time for Fabio.
How come he didn't wake her up?
Would you wake up if someone smeared margarine on your lips?
And if so, just what mood would you be in on finding grease on your mouth?
If I woke up with grease on my mouth and Fabio leaning over me.....we would have given the dwarfs an education.
The other guy... well, he's OK but not special (too bland).
I like the jungle commercial (Rich Hopkins, Fabio's stunt double for the commercial even got in touch and supplied a behind-the-scenes photo).
I like the cheeky look he has in the one print ad I found.
I like the one with the crumbling statue.
He speaks in the Jungle commercial.
He just smiles and winks and waves in the new one.

Not enough Fabio!
I have been contacted by a TV studio in Europe - they filmed a show on the 15th (1/15/00). Rats. Not one I could see! I tied to get them a tape of Fabio on Oprah about 3 years ago. No one could find it and I was in surgery. Too bad!
Now I have been contacted by a newspaper in New Zealand (they just found out he had been there). I forwarded the request for information.
I hear from TV producers and reporters periodically. I help when I can. Spread the word. Just once I'd like one of them to send me a photo in return! But I don't really mind.
At least I know he hasn't fallen off the earth!
He was mentioned on Jeopardy.
Any new cover model is a "Fabio-look-alike" if he has long hair. Even Troy caught that label - and he has a completely different body type and dark hair!
Fabio appeared in the year's end issue of People in charcicature. Along with Sophia Loren. Seems they both tangled with birds.
And Fabio is in the last issue of Esquire - another bird photo.
The cookbook from ICBINB hasn't made an appearance as yet - even though I ordered two of them - twice. A few have arrived. He's only on the cover folks! If I do my cookbook - I am putting Troy inside as well!
These are tidbits and teases.
Fabio opens a cruise line in February. In Florida. Two weeks before I may be out there.
Bummer.
I just may have to resort to stalking for real.
It's been way too long.
