Friday - My Boys Visited Last Night

Last Edit December 21, 1998

        My sons came last night.
        9:30PM.
They arrived like storm troopers. Backpacks. Boxes.
They came with food - and ate it in front of their mother.
They said I was on too high a trip (2 pain pills) to be coherant.
        I heard that myself.
They brought the mail (junk). Magazine (1). Catalog (for Mac computers).
        Something I can read.
        Alleviate the boredom.
        The cable service isn't.
        A service that is.
Impeachment does not interest me. Men in power always fool around. Always have. Who gives a damn?
        I am bored.
They brought and helped me open the surprize box from Linda, a fan. (Thank you Linda!)
They helped me open it and figure it out.
They computed that I was behind schedule and could open three things.
        I did.
        They said I could.
        They drarf the room.
        They are BIG boys.
They pulled rubber gloves over their heads - the 22 year old instructed the 17 year old. They inflated them so that the fingers stood up like coxcombs. (You cover your nose, inhale with your mouth and exhale thru your nose.)
They walked around my room clucking like overgrown chickens.
        I tried not to laugh.
I tried to hang on to my stiches.
This afternoon I mentioned this to my doctor. My doctor said, "Oh, yes."
        He knew the trick.
        Uh huh.
        Thought so.
