Since posting my short stories about my adventure in Little Rock, I have received dozens of e-mail - at home and at work (easy on that address people) offering congratulations and expressing shock, disbelief and/or delight. I thought you might like to see some of them. And some of my answers.

There are quite a few of us mesmerized by that tall blond - I will have shadows looking over my shoulder in October or whenever we get it scheduled.

.... the webmaster

I sorely regret not getting the $16,000 bid in on time. With all the screaming and the volunteers who were "assisting" me, my bid got lost until it was too late. In fact, I was told I had won at $16,000.

I stopped by the Excelsior on a whim to see if Fabio was "all that." Well, he is "all that", but I'm sure I'm not telling you anything new. I was never a Fabio fan until I saw him walk through the back door; so close I could have reached out and touched him. I was waiting in the back since I had not prepared for the event. He saw me at my worst. He is no doubt grateful for your winning bid.

Fabio looks fine in print, but there is something mesmerizing in his manner when you see him in person.

Your son will be happy that the bidding stopped at $15,500. You would have had to top $30,000. (I only had one credit card with me and no checks.)

Again, my sincerest congratulations.

Diana

I would have - topped $30,000 that is. Once in a lifetime stock windfall - and, it was for charity.

I've met him many times - he is always sweet and patient and a gentle soul.

I am hoping to get the bio data updated while on the trip (they know about the site, the stories. They have met me before.) Maybe in October....

Interesting fact is that I hadn't planned to do it [bid] either!

I wrote about 7 stories. He always sparks creativity.

Congratulations!!! and I hope you won't take offense, "are you out of your mind?" $15,500!!! Was it the excitement? The adrenaline? The testosterone of you know who? I just couldn't believe you did what you did?

I really enjoyed reading your story. But, I have to ask, what kind of date was Fabio offering?

I can't wait to read about the further installments of your adventures with Fabio.

Marianne

No, he isn't included in the room service!

And yes, it was a last minute thing. My companions said they were priviledged to watch me work. I was totally business mode - I don't even know where on the stage he was.

Worth every penny.

Hello DonnaMaie~

I have been keeping up with your site and trying to check it once per week. You've been doing a great job with it!!! As soon as I arrived at work this am, I needed to check and see if there were any updates, especially considering that auction was on Friday!

Am I to understand correctly that you are the lucky lady to have won your bid with Fabio?!?! If so, you must be ecstatic!

I really enjoy reading your stories on the net. My newest favorite is "Ok, where in the world is Fabio?" You are very funny!

I won't give you my info for the FIFC database, as Alex has all that info. Just wanted to let you know that the webpage is really a great help in keeping up to date on Fabio info.

Keep it coming~

Dana Ann

Good Morning~

I went into the website before I even took a seat at my desk! Had to know EXACTLY what had happened! If I hadn't said it before, "CONGRATULATIONS"!

The story was GREAT! I was in suspense even though I knew the outcome! Can't believe you asked him out for coffee, 'YOU GO GIRL!'! Sounds like you had a great time, I'm sure you're still on an adrenaline rush, ENJOY IT! Do you think it'll hold you until the BIG date in October, I sure think so!

DETERMINATION, sure sounds like you had it! I'll keep my eyes peeled in the webpage for more stories and updates!

$15,500-WOW, I still can't believe it!

Have a great one!

Dana Ann

I just had to response and let you know that you have really made my monday much better. I have this permanent smile plastered on my face, I can't wait to find out how you changed your amount from $1000 to $15500.

Have a great week~

Thank you. YES, in a moment of madness, this normally calm professional woman, became professional, (I ignored his presence) and took over the bidding at $8,000. I got him.

Look for about 5-8 stories on this event soon.
As soon as I calm down.
Our date is in October.
His eyes! What a hug......

I just had to write you (I am waiting to see if Fabio will be on Conan tonight or not and it is 12:15 a.m. Indianapolis time) and tell you how VERY, VERY PLEASED I am for you! I was anxiously awaiting your news about the whole Make-A-Wish evening, knowing that it was going to really great...all I can say is WOW!

Understand that I am 45 years old and I was jumping up and down at my computer terminal at home (my teenagers weren't home from school yet...they already know I am completely unable to be rational about Fabio) feeling like one of my family had gotten her dearest dream to come true. I must admit I was a bit overwhelmed by the price (well worth everything penny I know!) but if one must have one wild moment of whimsy and craziness I would say this was the best reason I could ever hope for too!

I was going to e-mail you last week and offer to copy the video clip I have of his CBS commercial since I managed to tape it one Saturday evening. Offer still stands (free of course!) but I would need a P.O. Box or something. But after what you have just been through that may seem a little tame now. Thank you for sharing it all...I would dearly love to meet him and my 13 year old daughter and I have decided if he is ever within driving range of Indianapolis we will go to see him.

I do so appreciate your website because I have not had much success in getting the newsletter sent to me. I sent in the money order, etc. in May and have not seen one newsletter or heard from his office. I am afraid it got lost along the way. Drat! But that doesn't stop me from enjoying all things Fabio whenever and however I can find them!

Blessings on you and hang in there! We will be thinking positive thoughts and cheering you on as you get closer to your date in October. You are not the only one who has a healthy fantasy life when it comes to that man and I have a wonderful husband I love and adore. But he figures that if Fabio makes me feel good about myself he definitely benefits along the way...so much nicer than a therapist! Sigh! Just got a copy of the Romantic Times convention in Nashville oh my...I will need heart medicine if I watch that video too often. Again...way to go! I am so pleased for you.!

Linda

I can't believe you paid $15,500 for this date but I know it's a dream come true for you. You have to tell me all about it when it happens.

Kelly

D.E.

I've visited your website before and I think your stories are so funny. In response to the one about where has the big one been hiding, I saw him on the Conon O'Brian show the other night. I'm an insomniac, that's when I spend most of my time of this computer, and it was about 1:30 in the morning. I thought about you and almost got up to send you an email but then I thought how stupid that was at that time of morning that you wouldn't get it in time to watch, sorry. So just so you know that was a sighting.... maybe you can catch a rerun of it.

By the way you really should finish writing a book.

Cynthia

Maybe I will have enough stories to do one. It would be a kick.

Bet you're still flying without a plane!!!! Checked "the" site. Story's great--laughed so hard, I fell off the chair. Cats are shakin' their heads ("Good God, she's at it again"), smacking me in the mouth with their tails, trying to help me regain my reason.

Hundreds of photos, hours of laughing, hugged by a blond god (with pictures to prove it), how can we come back to the "normal" swing of everyday things? NOT.

Thinking of you & October--don't forget--the offer to assist as your dressers still stands firm--keep in touch!!

I have done NO WORK all week - just sat and typed.

You expected otherwise? At least that's better than me--came home, sat in a chair, stared at the wall and DROOLED.

The photos take a bit. 10-30 minutes each. eye strain.

I'll bet. But the stories are great--I can hear your voice as I read 'em, and I'm right back in Little Rock--gad, I NEED ANOTHER FIX!!!!!!!!

I need to get a G3!!!!!

Let's see--you should manage that in a few days or so. I've seen you move mountains. So what's a little piece of hardware???!!!!!!

The Duchess
(still a bit miffed because we all forgot about her in the heat of the moment . . .)

Hidden Pictures Some of these are hard to work with - lack detail, light, etc. I am tryng. Rescued that one where I am giggling on his chest!
