2005 Story Set
| Date: December 11, 2005 It is not enough that the cat chases me up and downstairs, lays in wait for me to go to the kitchen (he won't eat if I am not standing there - if I am home). Oh no, now the dog chases me up and downstairs. After putting Trim out and sitting out with her to drink my coffee in my poor swing (needs two bolts), during which time she would not go to the upper yard (until I did - to turn on sprinklers), then she followed me back down and waited for me to go back in - for when I open the door - wham! She's back in her bed. I went up to strip for a shower - remembering that I skipped yesterday. Scritch, scritch, scritch - sounded like the cat at the door. I yelled - it stopped. Oh no. That's not the cat because Ranger doesn't stop. So out I came in nothing but a caftan (entertaining yet another set of neighbors when I went out to turn off the sprinklers - but I lived here before for 11 years - they have seen me with less on - trust me) and found the cat looking guilty. I went downstairs - no dog. I clapped and yelled - I think she's losing hearing - and down she comes - merrily tripping down the stairs. I suspect she has finally made it into the library (no door) where she has tried to go several times already. OK - she's back in her pen and will stay there for hours since I must shower and go shopping. Pet food being one item. The dog ate all the canned cat food. (Anytime Ranger walks away, and I am out of the room - wham! Dog scarfs up the cat food. This is a problem.) Cat must learn to eat in another place - bathroom? Off the counter?? Had to do that before when I had another small breed - she would not stop eating cat food - which causes tumors in dogs! I will buy canned dog food. Maybe that's the problem. The other problem is Trim was outside all day long at the Fremont house and we haven't made it there yet - I am working on it. It's just the rat bait house problem - which has resurfaced again --- because she likes toys. Trim won't eat the current brand of dog food - I need to get to PetCo and get her special brand and canned food to go with it. Should toss a fried egg at her too. Ranger meanwhile is complaining loudly that he doesn't have Friskies or canned cat food. Or a clean litter pan (need litter too). I am complaining loudly that the honeysuckles sent shoots everywhere and it will take a year to get it dug out and cut back. It isn't blooming - just spreading. My hummers (beautiful hummingbirds) are chittering and feasting on bougainvillea, but they love blooming honeysuckle. They are precious. Returning upstairs to my shower, I hear the clanks and bangs as the dog tries to rip up the garage door (remains of), remove the board and knock down the stumps. Later today I will roll a bigger stump in the pen --- ha ha. Take that Trim! My hair (newly died) is a red-brown - but only one side is curly. Oh well - reset it tonight. It's time for setting gels. It has made it shoulder-length and is a halo about my head. Now if I could lose weight and get my eyes done---- So I left for extended make-up-for-hiding-in-the-house shopping. Petco ($68) where I got food and treats and saw cute collars for Christmas and made a grooming appt for week from Monday since Ranger is crawling about the throw rugs and Trim has attacked doors. Target for curtains (some were yellow not white when I got to check out - no way) and rods (they stole anything not nailed tightly down over the years) and rods for the French doors in my bedroom. Not for my bedroom windows though - which I noticed as I stood there naked later that my neighbor has a clear shot at my boobs - oh my. Various DVDs (Aeon Flux animated series is out - I got it. March of the Penguins. Fantastic Four - John and I wanted to see that one.) I think I will watch scary movies holding one of his shirts and hiding in it. A new wine glass (Ranger broke mine) and new sweats (tossed them all since they were hospital clothes). Some 3-4" dangle earrings - the cheap stuff - wear and forget. For fun. Back to Long's to drop off a prescription (get it tomorrow). Then to the spa place in that mall (no Softtub). Need to get phone number of the other place Chuck found. Then to Home Depot for 37¢ worth of 2" bolts. (Hell of a walk for 2 bolts!) Then home. I love driving the 87 Toyota van! Whips around just fine and great for parking! OK - where is the dog? In the garage of course because the stump has been pried over and the board ragged from her claws. I also note that she is now working on the door between the house and garage - which means I nail 2x4's on the molding to protect it when I go to Fremont. She has already done damage. That fast. Determined little shit. Need metal strips to protect the doorframe. I rolled a BIGGER stump into the pen, which she cannot topple over and re-closed the gap she made in the garage door. Which pissed her off. I put the cat in the bathroom where he plays running in and out of the counter doors. (I hear the thumping.) I unloaded my van - multiple trips - litter - cat and dog food. My stuff. I unload thru the garage hence the cat being confined because his nose is in the door crack the minute I use a door and he tries to escape. 3000 sq ft and he wants to escape! He wants out - the dog wants in. She's whining. I gave the dog bones and am leaving her butt outside. She went in her doghouse (she has two) and ate one. Then she BURIED the rest. (Two bones had shattered.) I watched her dig under a plant - place it carefully - and use her nose to cover it back over. Why her nose is always dirty. Good lord! I grabbed a lunch of a small brownie, a handful of heart mix nuts, and a diet Pepsi. I was wearing a 42B bra fastened tightly - down from 44C fastened loosely. (44+D+ before breast reduction) I want this gut gone! I don't think the brownies help. John was going to call Dr. Phil on me. I am exhausted. I just heard another thump. Trim is at it again. Good thing I haven't bought new doors yet. |
