2005 Story Set
| Date: May 26, 2005 My contractor decided to replace the four cabinets that make up the island ----- perfectly good cabinets - but ---- If I am selling - he said - make them match ---- So - I have to clean out these cabinets - and have little space left to put it - I have stuff all over the floor now. I was emptying a drawer - and the Halloween stuff - he carved pumpkins - beautiful pumpkins - weird pumpkins - lots of tools. I was almost done with the 2 heavy drawers when I found a keychain - with the multi-colored lanyard woven thing - He made tails for my keychains so I wouldn't lose them. It was my spare key set. He wove these things all the time. It tore me apart - the tears just come - and they will not leave soon. It made me remember him. He was always happy to see me with the little things hanging off my keys. This was a fat pretty one. We have spools of lanyard. He was always trying to do little things to take care of me. I miss him so much. |
