2005 Story Set

After clearing the kitchen counters off - pretty much - just dishes I am using pots and pans - a few - and easily contained, I flopped for a bit (it is hot - the air conditioner in the family room has been running). I coughed a lot - finally took Claritin and Sudafed - tired of coughing, I got up to do something else useful. I also draped myself over the toilet and cleaned my bathroom floor, which hadn't been cleaned since he took ill - yikes. Well, I SPOT clean it - just not the get on your knees and get everything this time cleaning. I guess because I am about to get a new bath rug - pink does not match ruby red and gold I just did the master bedroom over in - with a shower curtain for color and two towels banded in same at the window. The blue will stay in John's bath - I will paint the whole room light blue and finally paint the skylight - sometime. I also - horrors - installed the doorknob I have had for 9 years on my bookshelf - somehow never got around to it - so now I can hang a bthing suit and bra from a doorknob in my tiny bathroom. Now I will Kaboom the tub I think----- maybe ---- and take a bath later----- spa stuff. I even washed the artificial roses I keep in the bedroom (as of July - they are still in the tub in the hall bathroom----). Ranger - who has determined that his lord and master is not coming back I believe has been flirting with coming closer. He used to sprawl on the arm of the sofa when I sat on it. Then he decided to drape himself rolling back and forth on the hassock - so I could not put my feet up. So I shoved him over and put them up anyway. And he snuggled on my leg. Today he decided enough was enough and climbed on the sofa and plopped down next to me curled over my hip. When I patted his head - he purred. The dog meanwhile, clean from a grooming, has spent the day in her bed in her room. Must put her out for feeding but she wants to stay clean evidently. |
