Fabio and the Nationwide Commercial

Superbowl Sunday

I was up (4AM) insomnia - after a 10 hour drive San Jose to San Diego - way too much coffee - I5 closed due to a wreck.

So I watched Good Morning America (6 AM in San Diego) - Fabio was interviewed for that show - Looking gorgeous as usual, talking about his commercial for Nationwide and some dude ran up with a hair dryer - "Don't we always see you that way???" yuck yuck Fabio just pushed him off and laughed.

It's a big deal - the football game is what plays between the commercials.
The commercials have center stage (only reason I watch) - so this is a good thing
Fabio entering a tunnel and coming out an old man?? Should be very interesting.

He's gotten a lot of press about the ad for the Super Bowl. He's very stoked about all the attention I understand

He got so much press - Nationwide LISTED the articles on their website! it's called BUZZ.

And then there was the commercial....www.nationwide.com

At first I went - What? They have a new product and didn't tell me??? Wait a minute----- FAKE OUT! --- it's all about how sexy and charming he is --- his youth --- he's floating in a gondola -- (Got me good) - and then he's picking up a rose while pushing the gondola (he had 3 hours training since he's from MILAN not VENICE!) (He also hit one, almost tipped his, and upset the gondola guy)

He then goes under the bridge --- still starting to come on to the young thing perched in the boat - batting her eyes - and then - he's 85!!!! kiss kiss purrrrrr - ooops! She's stunned.

I fell off the couch! Five hours of makeup and he looked ---- well --- old. Somehow I can't see him looking that way -------

Making a point that life changes you and it happens before you realize it's happening so run out an buy insurance or invest for retirement or do something with Nationwide ---- because ----
Fabio says he'll cut his hair when it gets to be ridiculous.
Have you seen him with short hair? Oh la la!

Sorry - except for the clydesdales, and the little horse trying to pull that big wagon (while two big horses are pushing it from the rear) while the driver tells the Dalmatian "I won't tell if you won't", which NO ONE could compete with, Fabio's was a really good one! (Leonard Nimoy with Aleve didn't do so bad either! But then, I am a trekkie. )

After that hilarity, I can sleep in peace. Having laughed myself silly.
