The Pitty-Pat of Little Roofer Feet

2006 Story Set

Date: January 9, 2006
It's the pitty-pat of little roofer feet - at 6:40AM - fortunately the dumb dog decided to walk on the floor (claws tapping) and heave herself down and sigh a lot - indicating that she wanted to go pee. At 5:30AM.
She still isn't eating but she stopped throwing up.
And she will - if not watched - try to escape the yard again.
So I was UP - sort-of - having had to walk thru the house, down two sets of stairs and out the back and pen her.
And then I had to walk back, climb back up, and lay down and catch my breath.
I grabbed my inhaler - I am to use it 3 times a day until ----.
I also expected them to arrive today - esp they missed yesterday and I have exposed wood on the deck.

They said they didn't ring the door because it was "too early" - but they felt fine STRIPPING the roof off with those big rakes like you toss hay with (forget their name - oh - pitchfork - that's the name --- duh! been out of the barn too long).
WAY TOO EASILY does that roof come off!!!
Felt missing under ridge line - OK - that's enough - now I am angry.
I climbed the ladder - fairly high - handed the digital camera to the guy who speaks English.
Getting back down was horrid - I made the mistake of looking down -----.
Took some photos from the ground too.
They took shots of the skylights - which are wrong skylights (both Andy and the new roofer said so).
My cars are now scattered about the neighborhood.
A dumpster is expected. A truck arrived.

The 64 Beetle (which is being rebuilt and then some) (for $15000 - it will be worth $25000 - 30000 or thereabouts) (and be road legal and ready) isn't here yet.

The van needs to be driven someplace.

The truck is waiting to hop back on 5 North.
I was 5000 miles late getting the Revos rotated at Wheelworks and 5000 miles late for a lube and oil at Toyota.
      DONE.
Next service on the truck at both is 69,000 miles - ho ha - still acts like a new car (they do - they can go 300,000).
If you remember to service them.

      My eyes are bleary.

My pants sort of fit - which - at the ripe age of 64 (2 more days) - is something at least - these are good pants - not the baggy sloppy jeans.

I remembered to put on a bra and long sleeves - the Santa Ana is coming and my spa is down! Boo Hoo!
Maybe I should get a wading pool.
I will be in a bathing suit later regardless - I have two old lady suits - with skirts - to cover the gut.
      ha ha ha .
Old ladies can smear makeup and waddle around.
Of course, once I hang the full-length mirrors and open the treadmill ---- I will embarrass myself into being better dressed and made up.
Yesterday I was zonked on the sofa most of the day - and slept last night - after 5 days no rest (had some wine - it helps the leg pain).
I promised myself to get back to work on the technical book and find my server guys today.

OK - trash just fell outside my open office door - the sun is rising - the dog is whining.
      Hmmmmmm.
      Time to move the booty.

I was thinking Narnia - think I will do that for my birthday (in two days).
Missed Corpse Bride - will order DVD.
Missed Aeon Flux - I have the DVD animation set. Will get that too.
Colin's new Movie - Nanny McPhee is due out soon (27th) - I ain't missing that!!!

      He's too damn cute
Why can't I find anyone like that???
