2006 Story Set
| Date:January 9, 2006 I was fiddling with email - in my office on the top floor. The dog is in and out of her dog house (she can see me - or hear me - or something) in the back pen. The roofers are dumping the shingles off into a truck instead of a dumpster and I wanted photos as we go along. Great thing digital camera - I have logs of the construction I never had before. I had SOME photos but not as many. I had a Starbuck's bottled coffee (lite Mocha) and had left it outside earlier. Went looking for it. I grabbed the camera and the coffee (fortunately it had been missed when shingles fell off the roof). I grabbed it and my camera - went to take a photo. I spilled coffee on my shirt since I was using both hands on the camera. STUPID! I wiped at it, scolded myself for a loon. I continued walking around - took photos (got one of shingles flying thru the air----) and then - trying to get the pile of mess on the roof - really dumped coffee down my chest! Whoosh! Right thru to the bra! I cracked up. You see - NORMALLY I have a cap on the coffee because I don't drink it all at once - but it was too early today and I don't have one on this bottle for some reason! I went in to change - fortunately laughing and now slightly chilled - and put on the same shirt - a duplicate of the one I spilled on. Looks like I didn't change at all. I had gone shopping when John was in the hospital and grabbed a light purple long sleeved loose top at one Target - and then had bought the same damn shirt (and a black one) at a second Target. Obviously distracted. Comes in handy sometimes however. I finished my coffee and decided to stay inside for a bit - the way things are flailing off the roof --- probably a good idea! Should fix something besides 2 stale chocolate cake glazed donut holes left over from the last trip to Fremont. I am still grinning. Too funny. Obviously, I need another nap. |
