2006 Story Set
| Date:January 7, 2006 Egad -- roofer came --- now I am doing the WHOLE damn roof - another $6450 in addition to the other bid. I had heard noises - ignored them. (I had a book that started lamely so I just read the end - ended lamely). I never heard the doorbell!!! I went up to go check the mail. Geez - there's a guy on my stoop. Surprise! And me with BLUE and PURPLE eyeliner drawn on my face (testing makeup) while I was cleaning up and braless in ORANGE. (I could frighten small children.) YIKES! I could make a 3-season room on the back porch - think I will - for bike and camping stuff - a table and chairs. The chaise. Cat would love it. New ceiling out there is LOVELY. They had used staples (15 yrs ago) and not overlapped correctly. I should have climbed up and checked on that-----. I know how to roof better than that contractor! I was however working at the time. Trim just stands a looks at the strangers running around. Some guard dog - "pet me" and she doesn't make a peep. (Roofer petted her.) Ran upstairs to her bed up here. Sleeps 24/7. I have been warned ---- they arrive tomorrow to get the felt down. Dumpster about Tuesday. Or I think I should wash this outfit and send to Meredithe to sell or use for dust rags. Craft pieces. (Box #8 loading) Think I will go eat the strawberry tart for lunch 7th - it's the 7th already!!!!!! Egad! |
