Padded Bra and Pink Sweater

      A woman in a padded bra and a pink sweater ----
      and curlers and no makeup - tight-ish black pants
      and fresh from the shower
     
      ----- can get a man to do anything (they don't notice the curlers)
     
      I had originally called for Andy (my contractor)
         - actually told Judi (his patient wife and my realtor)
      I needed a strong man - could I borrow hers????
      I had succumbed to the need for a TV bigger than 12" and cable (DirectTV)
      because I cannot stay here day after day on arial reception  - I need distraction!
      Circuit City had DELIVERED the light-weight 32" flatscreen

      And had me PICK UP the HEAVY TV stand after assembly.
      It was not in my truck and not going anywhere fast. I stuck the TV on the
       battered room divider we had dragged over from storage
       (I had finally shut down one of the units).
         
      But last night was Andy's poker night
      --- never disturb a man playing poker (he lost)
      Like taking coffee and chocolate away from a woman!
     
      So, this morning, when an unknown contractor down the street
       (where there have been 2 police actions)
      locked himself out of his truck ----
      and asked for a wire coat hanger
      (I was taking out the garbage)
     
      well --- I traded him a wire hanger for muscle - batting my un-mascared eyes
       Not sure he looked that high
     
      The two of them (he had a partner) grabbed the TV stand
       I could not move out of the truck
      - hauled it into the family room quick as a wink
      - will take two men and boy to move it out
     
      I blessed them and sent them off to pry the truck open (They did)
     
      I put the rickety room divider back where my older son Chuck had decreed it
        looked good
      and set up my TV
      Arial dangling from the mantle
     
      HA!
     
      Now when Direct TV gets here tomorrow ----- I will be all set
      I am learning to curl up on the small sofa until I find a folding chaise
      and a yellow cushion
     
      Furniture is for for my tree-house in San Diego (well - the TV is for the bedroom-office down there)

      Can't expect me to camp in Fremont without Cable TV! Or a decent set!

My new Samsung flat screen - so good I can take a photo of it. That stand is a monster!
