So here I sit - my eyes swollen and tired from reading details off a PC-screen - a large one - fixed frequency (who thought that up?) and the florescent lights overhead bouncing off the keyboard (makes the keys gleam) and the screen and generally making my eyeballs very, very tired.
Note: my eyes get somewhat tired looking at a Mac screen but not nearly so much.
Note: when I could change the frequency - I could find one not resonating with everything else in the office . Oh yeah, add the dulcit tomes of hammers, saws, and a lot of thumping. They are building down the hall.
I have had my SECOND cup of hot (well - lukewarm) Cappuccino (by Medifast) and my stomach is not entirely happy. Chuck taking me to dinner at 6:30 - and when I called at 4 he said he ASSUMED I stayed at work until 6-6:30 and I must be a slacker! He said this while standing in his livingroom.
Right.
Anyway, turns out HE left the lid off the cookies - ooops! Poor Rob has been slighted. (Blame Chuck!) So maybe Rob should get the ton of cookies in the back of my truck! They are sealed in freezer bags. Won't stop the ants, who have been known to get into freezers (and freeze - of course).
Chuck said the first scouts he killed. The first battalion he killed. And then they sent soldier ants - he got them too (big ants accompanying the worker ants to "defend" them since the first group went missing). (I hadn't studied them - I just spray them.)
I finished my doc for the day (can't see anymore) and have nothing I want to do (because I have bills doesn't mean I want to sit down and pay them).
I usually drive home rather bleary-eyed - cars and trucks are big enough to see but don't ask me to read a street sign for at least 20 minutes.
Both of us were talking on cell phones while we sorted out arrangements and both cell phones were attempting suicide. I have mine plugged in. He was plugging his in while we were speaking. Mine seems to need charging more often of late. Aging battery?? Could be.
Bugger. I like my simple clunky old cell phone. I am used to it.
His exterminator comes Tuesday. So does mine.
I had a nice dinner ------- The desert ---- oh yeah. My son takes nice pictures of me. Chocolate brownie, ice cream and whipped cream. And a candle (yes, he sang.) He helped me eat it. Never leave a brownie on the plate.
The desert? The Thunder from Down Under - The Outback of course. Obscene desert!
I eat any more of those and I won't make 67!

Took several tries to keep my eyes open. My son has the same problem.
I had to look away from the flash..... I also should have washed my hair.
It was fine in the morning, but by night - it stubbornly uncurls itself and does what it wants.

Yep - it's the Matador outfit.
