Chocolate Attack
2007 Story Set
|
Date: December 17, 2007
OK - I made it to tonight before attacking the package of Bark I got for Christmas-----
haha - that is NOT going to San Diego!!!!! It's in this fridge!
You would have to rip it out of my cold dead hands!
A bow that could not be untied? - won't stop me! - I have a knife!
Lots of big and little pieces (well, not so many little pieces, shucky darn)
Dark chocolate - not overly sweet - with almonds - it is to die for!
I grabbed a few pieces -- oh yeah - it's what I wanted.
The theory behind small pieces is that calories run out of them.
Just like when you break a cookie on the cookie sheet - like a warm choc chip = melted chocolate - and you eat it because the calories fell out.
Sure they did.
I was having a bad moment - I let myself run out of chocolate and ice cream - trouble is - sometimes my body craves sugar!
My system swings wildly back and forth.
Years and years of bad diet as a child and then screwed up thyroid.
Not to mention going to work with all protein shakes - and leaving the shaker at home - brilliant move! so no protein to speak of all day!
Came home and made a roll-up using 1/2 chicken breast and ricotta cheese in a tortilla - didn't even bother to dig up hot sauce.
Had a can of creamed corn for veggie and some nuts.
Food groups represented -----
I did catch something on the news this morning - brittle nails, exhaustion, trouble breathing on activities and a few others - yep - that's me.
IRON DEFICIENCY - I went to WebMD and looked it up - oh yeah.
I had stopped the iron pills (Dr said my iron was too high) - then stayed on a pseudo diet.
I ran and got iron tablets - took one at work - took TWO stress tabs with iron this morning.
Made it to 4 before succumbing to exhaustion - I usually crash about 1PM.
Eye strain did me in.
Well - that's something - back on iron tabs I go! Maybe I'll do them week-days.
It's cold and my feet are freezing - I think the thyroid is too low.
A little sugar helps - so does turning up the furnace to 68 and climbing under a blanket.
I have to finish judging, pay bills, do laundry and finish loading the car by Thursday AM - and work too.
At least I cleaned the cat cages (from their fit over the last time being dragged back here to Fremont. Fremont is 8-10 degrees colder than San Diego.)
I am discussing with myself if I should wash my hair. Nope - it's COLD and a STORM is coming. My hands are cold on the keyboard.
Oh yeah - wore sneakers yesterday - all day - my hips were a mess this morning - answered that question - wear orthodics on the treadmill.
OK found socks, sneakers, exercise clothes - time to stop procrastinating
no excuses -----.
ha ha ha
I am eyeing the red wine.
