2008 Story Set
| Date: November 12, 2007 I got up with good intensions ----. I have an early morning meeting. The cats were all fed last night - doesn't stop Summer who's persistent whine and chasing and ankle rubbing can drive you nuts before you have had your coffee. She will NOT let up. The dog - who is licking herself too much - must get her back on her meds - kept me up late - as did a book I was reading - Elizabeth George - Missing Joseph (The show was equally spooky) - I was actually reading the book while the re-run of another Inspector Lynley was playing on TV. In the book he is blond - on TV he is dark-haired. I absolutely love the show. I love the author's comment about Lynley and his sergeant ever getting involved ("Over my dead body") I stepped over the tampons still scattered on the floor - and in retaliation for no INSTANT gratification - Summer denuded one of its wrapper - great - hope I have no company. She rolls around the floor with them - ignoring her cat toys - the paper covers make noise. She also likes sales receipts, the plastic cap wrapper from a Starbuck's bottle, wine corks, and tape from boxes. Paper bags are always around. My lily has mysteriously lost all its petals. Summer extracts revenge! Since she spent many hours draped over my right boob sleeping while I was reading (she was half under my arm, being petted except when I turned a page - and didn't THAT interruption annoy her!) - she should be feeling well-cared for. Demanding little stinker. I had my Medifast oatmeal having been off-diet sort of all week-end. My reaction to discovering my waist was under 40" and so were my hips. Those of us with eating disorders have weird ways of looking at things. I packed for work (Yogurt and tapioca pudding), have medication (for my left hip which pops in and out of its socket evidently). Last night I got into a position where I could not move the leg and the pain was unholy - I was stuck on the sofa - until I gritted my teeth and forced myself up. That was fun! I had a shot of Jack and 2 Tylenol after that one! However - this was the first time that I actually heard it click back into position ------. Something is getting pinched. I grabbed all my bills - then discovered it's a bank holiday and therefore a postal holiday therefore I need to drop them at the post office ----. Write them anyway. I am trying to sort out what I am actually getting paid now that I am paying social security and fed and state and CDI etc out of my paychecks (instead of lump sums). Somewhere I have to round up the property tax money. Two houses - over $7,000. Yikes! Other than that I can eat. I brought in a Starbuck's coffee (never make it thru the day). I haven't entered the Gotcha yet ----- I paid for two entries. I haven't bought the ISBN numbers. I haven't bought the Mac software for bar codes. I did figure out sort-of how to use the css based template I bought off the web - I started developing a website for my pen name - Caliente Morgan. I will put up the opening page tonight. I did fix the Fabio FAN site template and uploaded all that I think. I fielded a lot of email (OK Fabio - no more shoving matches in restaurants!) (OK George - no more drinking!) I have a newsletter to issue by the 15th. I have learned that I AM making the turkey for thanksgiving. In San Diego. OK - I will get to rake leaves-------) I need to call the electrician - still - since I was so rudely interrupted. The list goes on. I sort-of cleaned. I am current with the washing. I vacuumed. 1/2 the house. I have so much to do ----- and I have more Elizabeth George novels on the shelf calling me ------. OH WELL - I will figure all this out. Right now I am looking for two VISA bills - because one was not enough! GAK! Like the two mortgages. Well - I am planning to change all that. I feel like I am in a wind tunnel. I made my meeting ------I did, I did. |
