Erased from Starbuck's

I took advantage of the weather letting up somewhat (A LOT) from the nightmare of yesterday.
The room air when I got home was on - finally - the big one not yet (holding 72 in the back rooms).

I tossed my hair on my head in a twist (yuck - not my best look) put on makeup (double yuck - heat is time for no makeup) got dressed (triple----) after I had done 0.86 miles on the treadmill and made it as fast as 2.6 --- up from 1/2 mile at 1.7 MPH. I had Medifast oatmeal for breakfast. I am trying.

I went to the drug store - needed to breathe - got my allergy prescription (nasal spray) and a batch of SlimFast Optima (low sugar and high protein) cans.

Then I went to the grocery store - more SlimFast (I was interrupted at the drug store in shopping because I got called for pick up) and I got some frozen dinners and some salad - and Stress tabs with Iron I was out of. Can't get it at Long's anymore.

I have meal bars and snack bars but will try to stay on cans for 10 days. Jump Start me back on track.

Proud of all I had done - and thirsty - then I went to StarBuck's --- right next door - wanted LIGHT mocha decaf no whip Frappichino. I used to get (especially at Stanford) a Cafe Mocha Decaf Grande non-fat no-whip . We won't discuss the calories. Toward the end, Chuck had me drinking them full bodied with whipped cream. I gained over 45 lbs while on hospital food and stress eating.

Well ------ as they were writing down the order--- they told me -- they have regular base - decaf base and Light base (regular coffee).

No light decaf base for Frappichino. Notice that HOT drinks are SKINNY and COLD drinks are LIGHT. Just for added confusion.

I left the store. I was in no mood to argue anymore. I was hot and tired and in ned of my nasal spray.

I am actually visibly upset! (PMS) OVER COFFEE!

The Skinny label (applies to the hot beverages) you may or may not find in the stores - some stores dropped it - the low-sugar syrup you can add to decaf to get skinny decaf mocha - ordered with non-fat and no-whip - a grande is 130 calories. A Skinny Moca Grande no-whip. Whatever. Good Luck finding it.

So - for those of us on low-sugar decaf - we are essentially no longer customers they care about. You may or may not be able to get a HOT skinny drink.

I have been erased

I really am upset!

Bad enough you cannot get decaf bottled (again - you can get Light but not Light + decaf - so I get Light Mocha).

And my blood pressure soars when I have the bottled light Starbuck's - even if I sip it over 4-6 hours!
It is leaving my shopping cart (I currently use it for driving but I am cutting that back too).

Low sugar and decaf - drs. orders

I guess we are too old to be in the customer base.

Sounds like a blueprint for a new chain - the over 60 coffee house.

Meanwhile, I will go sulk.
