The Gods are INSANE!

I must be crazy ---

I, who sleeps until the last possible moment and sometimes past it, now get up at 6AM - make coffee, and set up food bowls and water and grab the miscreant 6-lb ball of fun and take her out for early morning walkies. Confined at the moment to the patio. (the length of the house.)

I, who has been resisting the treadmill, now run up and down the back of the house - several times, sometimes cold coffee cup in hand, eyes barely open.

I, who flop in a nightgown in computer chair or on sofa, until time to bolt for the shower and the office, am dressed in jeans, top, and SHOES, by 6:20AM and out with this bundle a minute later.

I, who was falling asleep with the TV on, can't. (DirectTV box failure - again.) I listen for cries.

I, who was in the middle of a writing project, have slowed down. I did manage the SVRWA newsletter. I am reading, in site of pathetic crying, email and news, and organizing my day.

I, who was on a don't spend much campaign, am now plotting a enclosed outside area (the entire if not expanded covered patio). 20'? More?
Meantime, a bedroom has been dedicated.

And the garage looms for cleaning after months and months (years) of procrastination.

Baby gates are coming for kitchen confinement (esp. San Diego)

She will need to be in a crate in the SD bedroom. or confined to my bathroom behind a gate down there. Let's see - need three gates down there.
How wide do baby safety gates go? Up here I have a bar area to block. Then she can be with me while I cook, do dishes, etc. and the cat litter will be safe.

Diet? No time for food.

Sleep? Grab naps when she does. She even dozed up on the sofa with me.

Baby?

No - a 10 weeks old today baby beagle. Who is howling in frustration as I wait for a sunbeam to make her running outside with me warmer. She was shivering after fun in the early morning twilight and damp grass, and when she finished breakfast and drank water, her ears got wet. I put her in her pen to do her business - we haven't trained yet. And to warm up.

Adorable. Motivating.

I am exhausted.

And then she runs to me and licks my face.
