Baby on a Tether

NOTE THE LEASH----- only thing that saves my sanity and my house - she can play this way for 60-90 minutes.

When she starts trying to nip at me and do a frenzied attack on the sofa - it's bedtime. (Grace is now 6 1/2 months, 19 lbs. She is the "social butterfly" of the puppy class.)

If I leave the room - she stops playing and barks and howls. I have to talk to her so she can hear my voice. Mommies cannot go to the bathrrom alone. They canot close the door.

If I go to the computer---- she will do something naughty (today - up on the sofa - my glasses and good bra----).

Now and then - if my attention wanders - she goes for the DVD shelf, the magazines, and any softcover book in range - my sneakers, and my dirty socks.

She's just like a toddler - and demanding as hell.
This after nearly 4 miles of walking (AM and PM) - and a total of 1 hour of chase the toy fetch and play tug of war with it.
She romped in grass.
Ran in the yard.
Came in and played.
If toy goes out of range, she tries strangling herself, and then discovered - lay down and howl at it - this will get mommy's attention!
She's a nut!

I have to use a treat when I say good night or she won't let me pet her -------.
I don't get her up fast enough - she won't run to greet me - she makes me wait----.

The breeder said they were manipulative - that's an understatement!!!!

As for the dark room with the pen and her pads and some safe chew toys (no squeekers)
- that's HER SPACE and she likes it! (How many dog have a whole room to themselves!)

I watch for the yawning-----.
