Set up takes about an hour. Rocks go here. Plants like so. Yes, that works. Pay the plant guys. (Good Earth.) Get the makeup (Doris Lew) Set up the cameras (Ron Jones) Check the lighting (Johnathan too). Check the angles. Check the muse. Check the lenses. Check the views. I need to pin Troy into the first vest. The safety pins are hard to push. I take my time and do not rush. We make him up (Doris did). Ron fussed with the rocks and plants. We unpack the gun. He has black pants. Big gun. Big man. And Troy is set. I set the scene. The captain. My captain. Leading the survivors to the space shuttle. Looking out and wary for the hostiles. Weird planet. Time a factor. Take the hill. Before it takes you. He breaks all the rules to save her..... Lunge. Pose. Breathe. Toss the hair. Move the gun into another position. Heavy gun. Touch up the model. Try another one. The cover is serious - leading survivors up out of the jungle. Make that climbing out of the swamp. But I do want that megawatt smile that he has.. Need PR. Need one for the ad. He's nervous? Nope. Concerned. His first cover. Want's it to be right. I watch the shots. I need to breathe too. We position him. He positions himself. Good ideas. Try it. Ron shoots. Oh dear. I will be a puddle. The vest is pinned - so it falls open - great abs. Great pants. Great arms. Georgous eyes. Perfect. A few polaroids - test shots. We switch vests. To the first vest I made - soft red velvet. Cool. I get to pin him in that one, too. We move Troy around. Look serious. Get that arm flexed. Get the other arm. Get those abs. Get those eyes. Watch the expression. Cool. No, now heating up. He's working up a sweat. So am I. Climbing rocks. Don't fall! Fake rocks. Tossing hair. Different angles. Try another vest. There are four of them. We try blue green. One I haven't seen. I was in makeup. It didn't get pinned. Swallowed him whole. No. No. No. We try the black. I like the black - a real Ranger vest. Wow. I think I like that the best. But the background will be red and black. Angry sky. Makes the trek more urgent. We stop for fun. Without the shirt. Wet the hair. Toss it around. Try again. Oh yes! We try it with a sword. Troy's sword. Wow again. A little too phalic! But a neat touch. Have to think about that! Might be too much. Variations on a theme. Steam heat in the extreme! |
