Thanksgiving Stuffing 2003

2003 Story Set

Date: November 29, 2003
2 rolls of Jimmy Dean Sausage - regular or HOT - I did regular - they were out of HOT - Chuck noticed

2 cans of water chestnuts - 1 whole 1 sliced

a whole thing for celery - I ended up with Organic when the store was out of regular - hearts packages
      --- slice and dice

      1/2 BIG sweet onion diced

1 yellow onion sliced and diced

1 entire bulb - all pieces - Elephant Garlic

1 entire bulb - all pieces - regular garlic bulb

      1 can Bamboo shoots

      1/2 green pepper - chopped

      Olive Oil for frying

      1 can of Chicken Broth

      2 packets of stuffing cubes

      2-3 extra large eggs

Poultry seasoning and Thyme and other spices (listed on the Poultry seasoning can)

fry everything except the cubes, eggs and broth until everything cooked down - onions translucent
      and sausage cooked

Chuck likes to cook it first - I like adding the sausage later on - either way works

At the end - add 2-3 eggs, broth and cubes

Stuff turkey after washing it with salt and water

I left the legs unbound - shoved ALL the stuffing into or on the bird (Butterball)

Made taking stuffing out later SOOOOO easy

Wrapped bird in non-stick aluminum foil

set it in a foil pan on a cookie sheet

      cooked at 325

      10 AM to about 6:30 - 7 PM

Eat after draining the pan (I couldn't find a turkey baster to I picked up the whole damn pan)
and adding a glob of flour - I beat the gravy into submission with a touch of pepper and
      kitchen Bouquet

      YUM!!!
