Cats

2003 Story Set

Date: November 29, 2003
      Sunday Morning ----

First - I am in pain, pain, pain and trying to wake up to take the next two loads (in the cars) to storage and stay motivated to come back, pack two 6' bookcases, and do it again.

Second, after killing the wine bottle (1 FULL glass) over the evening I slept (finally) until about 8AM

And third, my head reeling because it rained last night, my nose stuffy, I wanted coffee.

Besides which, they are not runing TARZAN tonight and I am properly miffed.

So I slapped my thigh and got the dog up from her corner and headed for the kitchen.

Out goes the dog and I noticed that the food bag was near and couldn't remember feeding her much yesterday since she doesn't like raindrops on her head and it had sprinkled in the morning.

So I grabbed the bag and went out to quickly fill her "pot" - the ever-changing food dish. I am barefoot on cold, wet cement in my floral nightgown. Thank heavens for fences as I have not combed my wild hair nor do I sport any makeup.

As I turned around, I see Ranger, a very wet Ranger, headed into the house. Skulk skulk skulk.

Turns out, the little shit had escaped when I was bonkers from stripping the turkey and had put the turkey and out trash out the door. Must have as no other door or window is open.

He is very fast. I must put that tag on his collar.

And he is now very wet. He goes nose-first into the food dish and then proceeds to try to bury things in the litter pan by scratching the cabinet wall. If I yell at him, he will go under the dining room table and barf on the rug. He did this yesterday. Sweet little kitty!

Little Bit - we are not sure of not seeing her.

But my son's response was "We don't care - she is on a diet plan."

She loses weight when left outside. She NEEDS to be outside.

After the hazing from my older son on Thanksgiving (she got hers - she scratched them both), she probably does not want to come back!

So I will change the litter pan now and change clothes, sip coffee and contemplate how I am going to read some more of my seminar notes on PLX, do the garage and vacuum the family room floor. Any dirtier and the cats can use it as a litter box!
And keep an eye out for one wet grey and black sulky feral cat.

(Turns out - she was smart enough to stay in the house.)
