Bats in the Belfry!!!

2004 Story Set

Date: August 17, 2004
John wandered in to use the bathroom (his) (from his garage sanctuary).
I heard a yell - at the last 60 seconds of a Law & Order I was watching - sort of - while reading - sort of.
My mind being rather distracted after the hospital news.
      I ran.
He's sitting there on his throne and asked "How long has the cat been locked in the closet?" (His old bedroom - now mine)
      I looked - no cat.
He said "The door was banging." Aha.
      I opened my bedroom door.
      There is the damn cat.
Because ---- I had gone to the bathroom and Ranger - brat that he is - snuck in behind me.
      Anytime that door opens-----
In fact, both cats now run into my room at any given moment to stare out the new patio door.
And they can run under the bed, which is higher then the old frame - they love it. I can't see them.
I let the cat out and yelled at him as he loped down the hall.
      John was laughing.
I threatened to take a picture - boy on his throne.
      He threatened to pose.
Afterward, he helped me open Chardonay Souvignon - dry and unchilled (I added an ice cube)
      He wanted a small glass.
      What can I say???
I gave him about 1 oz.
      I have a small glass.
      Anything to dull the brain.
I prefer my sweet Port so I will get some more tomorrow

John will try to get up and eat three meals tomorrow.
He's not hungry at the moment. (1/8th plus 1/16th piece of family sized pizza)
He has a fork and bottled veggies he may eat later.
I will make brownies - Atkins with nuts and chocolate.
      Get him to eat one.
      (He did not allow that.)
I am to wake him and drag him to the grocery store before work.
      Right.
Like he will wake up that early.

He raises one eyebrow the next morning and burrows into the bed.
I will run over alone. Sigh.
