2004 Story Set
| Date: Day 9 - April 3, 2004 My son was retaining a lot of fluid last night - they are pumping it into him at a high rate to clear the metheldrexate - he's all puffy. In the daytime they give him Lasix? However that's spelled to make him pee a lot. He barely moves at night. He has one more go round with that drug (Metheldrexate is the one that required the portable pump the last chemo session). This is day 9 He gets a lot of transfusions right now We are counting---- By day 14 we should start to see something move Once his counts start coming up (and we know this worked) - he will get better They said his donor "did a good job - lots of cells" We can try to meet the donor after 1 year It will be a year before we know------ I will be under sedation by then! This is very hard to watch He is a fighter but Jesus - they need a better way to cure this! |
