On Monday they will do a bone-marrow biopsy on John
- this is going to be very hard as when we get results (It takes days),
if the results are bad, we are running out of options
His white cells continue dropping but only went from .8 to .7 which is slowing down
- we hope it will plataeu and then start recovering which would be on target
since he was about in relapse when they did the transplant ---- it's all very iffy
sort of living under an anvil that's about to drop on your head
The best you can do is ignore it on a daily basis and live as well as possible
his low-grade fever Wednesday caused a bunch of test (blood cultures) etc (38.5)
they gave him plataletes and therefore Benedryl today - so he is sleeping for the afternoon
he spit up this morning - too much seltzer water on an empty stomach
and too much nasal drainage added to the Casper Fungen which upsets his stomach
we rotate doctors again on Monday
and Monday he gets a few other things
I will go to work late (I stay for the biopsy) and pick him up late
My new Microwave is a monster - 1.7 cu ft and beautiful - but is 2" further over the stove and 2" lower than the old one.
this makes a problem - I should move the stove.
Electrician said I should rip out all the cabinets so the microwave could be mounted higher
(raise the cabinets - which are low anyway)
- and while I was at it put in a granite counter and new cabinets (and a stainless steel sink). (He guessed $1500 - 3000 - small kitchen - contractor says maybe $5000 - I sent for an estimate)
This would allow the Kitchen Aide food processor and the Vegematic blender airplane
engine and the Kitchen Aide mixer to fit UNDER the cupboards
which would be nice
So I called the contractor.
When I boiled water and made John Angel Hair spaghetti
- the steam was up the front of the microwave ---
because the pot was half under the microwave
I can also almost set myself on fire trying to angle back to change the burner settings (in the back)
and the new stove (coming in Jan) is taller - about meeting the bottom of the microwave (back panel controls)
I need to have the legal requirements for spacing checked out
--- I need the house in shape for selling
because at age 70 I am back in San Diego at all possible speed
that is 7 years from now
I am still laughing about the Presto Fry Daddy that my brother Johnny sent me - too cool!
PS;
I called 911 so the firemen could check if fire got behind anything --- they looked
when we took the old microwave down - it was very obvious that the
flames had found a chimney between the microwave and the cupboard and had run straight up.
Yikes.
So much for 911. All they did was blow leaves into my house when they insisted their fan was bigger than mine.
