2004 Story Set
| Date: June 4, 2004 Am a mess today Tried to take out a parking gate - twice Last night - pulling out behind a big silver "squatting in the exit" and riven by a dork suv I put in the parking pass - pulled up - and proceeded forward when they finally moved - the gate slammed down - about missed the hood - inch to spare I chewed out the attendant and flashed the pass - "lift the damn gate" I have gone out behind people before - it knows you are there They tell me to "wait for the car ahead" - BS! It usually works just fine! Besides - I am impatient - and pissed that I have to pay $56 bi-weekly just to get my child into the cancer center! So this morning, I put in the pass, was rolling the truck while I closed the door (leaned out) and put the pass away etc etc Because I had heard the beep that said it got it --- Well - the gate did not go up!!! I slmmed on the brake. I got out, stalled the damn truck, walked back, used the card - nada So I got a push-button ticket and came in Went over to security later and demanded a replacement Card had failed 2-week pass - lasted less than Geeez! I have had them fail before but I was tired and 3 sheets to the wind The schedule gets to me - I should have picked that up last night! So day before yesterday I totalled up about $3,000 in bills from Stanford et al I screamed for the social worker and the financial people Climbed up the nurses I mumbled about a lawyer and a lawsuit Next day - two people showed up The financial guy was on vacation - I had his substitute He's got a hell of an email waiting for him - Momma on the prowl Well --- today I called - got another number - called her She's "taken care of stanford" and after I faxed the power of attorney She's going to find who to call at Lucille Packard to do the same over there--- Nothing like throwing a fit! The hospital said and I quote "you have good insurance----" Damn right - $1200 a month!!!!! Why I work Meanwhile Wells Fargo flakes had screwed up the refi - haven't heard from them Something about they didn't have the $500 That they would not take by check when I made the application And that I gave them visa card info for over the phone two days later ----- It's been weeks! So I guess a threat about a discrimination lawsuit might move that ball - this is ridiculous! My boss was delighted at the file I did for the new databook And I am back off on the other databook Meanwhile - I have two meetings Monday - will take my son in with me if I must - he needs to see other people. |
