2004 Story Set
| Date: April 12, 2004 I have been living off my turkey - hamburger - veggie - sausage meatloaf (two loaves) and some veggies, slice of cheese and a Starbuck's for supper at 9PM. Every night for two weeks. I need to make a new one. Meatloaf. And at night - midnight - when I get home from the hospital - bleary-eyed and still awake - I settle for BBC America reruns since that beats anything on American TV. I have a bit of my low carb cheesecake (sugar free) and defrosted blueberries and tell myself that this is god for me - the fat lazy woman who refuses to get back in the gym. I overdid the microwave defrosting of the blueberries - making myself blueberry soup. Flashing in my mind was to put the mess into a bowl. I poured them over the small slice of cheese cake on a small desert plate. I sat down in my nice long nighty to watch RedCap (BBC America) - even if the family room furnace is out (again). I managed to ---- SPILL blueberries on my nightgown. I went to the kitchen - holding this up (my leg is blue) and being careful of the WHITE rug and stuck the gown into the sink --- with me still in it. No Joy. So now I am wet and stained. So I waddled to the bedroom - ditched the nightgown and undies and took them to the laundry room. ---- which has it's slatted blinds wide open!!! NAKED HOUSEWIFE!!!!! I grabbed a new nightgown and put the cheesecake and berries into a bowl as should have been done in the first place. This morning I had made blueberry muffins (Atkins) and ate two for breakfast. Felt like it. Had two hard boiled eggs for lunch with an apple snack later. And another blueberry muffin at 5PM. Eclectic but not bad The meatloaf was with a small serving of carrots. I eat small servings, low carb. I have managed to stay conscious - have not driven off the Dunbarton bridge. In spite of high winds. I can't tell if I am thinner - but I am wearing tee shirts I couldn't wear before. I still have a gut. Stress hormones do not want to concede defeat! |
