2004 Story Set
| Date: May 21, 2004 I got home at 3PM from the hospital with typing to do on the databook I am wrapping up - a bunch of edits plus some proofing pre-release (And a second book in hand) This distraction (I get on the computer and forget myself) is evidenced by my boiling a can of chicken noodle soup to death (I ate what was left of the noodles, put whiter vinegar into the pan and cleaned it up) --- and then trying to make a condensed mass out of a second one Ranger - pissed that I keep him out of my bedroom (always have) - ran in there and put his claws up on the mattress, which is leaning against the wall waiting for the other wall to be closed back up and painted now we know the mold was surface-only. He misjudged my distance from him ---- and when he turned to look at me with those orange eyes of his -- as if going na na na na na -- I was on him pretty fast and he had to run for his life. He is a nut! He will chirrup if i really rub his head hard or chuckle his chin. A big orange blob chirrupping. The dog was SOOOO upset at not sleeping in her room (my bedroom) and on me not sleeping in my room with her - that she has a fit when I bring her in. Now the mold is dead - I tossed her into my bedroom in her bed and left the TV on for her. Chuck fixed John's speakers - forgotten reset switch - and John likes to blow me off the couch with loud music, or what passes for it today - making it necessary to stay out of the clean room ---- as long as possible However - I have nowhere else to sleep at the moment (I miss my bed!!! As lumpy and old as it is --- I know I need a new one - so does John - he is supposed to be researching them on Consumer Reports) John is on blood pressure medication (been there, done that) But his kidneys doing better He is working on the second abortive attempt at chicken noodles - I had a cup left - After eating two pieces of cheese-free pizza - except the crust - which I had tried to burn or at least brown well He had peaches and bananas, chicken broth and noodles, and chocolate soy milk with 1/2 can 7 UP at the hospital. He's also got a second can of soda going (about gone) This is good. He is still losing weight however. They do say he's good enough to "get a day off" soon holy moly Hopefully OFF the bags. And he will have to drink a lot of fluid. |
