Thank you to all of you for trying to help in this very tragic time.

He is in a better place

He went peacefully surrounded by family and doctors, people he has known for the nearly 5 years of treatment

His was a life well-lived

He was well-loved and loved life

He faced death and illness with grace, dignity and charm

He went down fighting

He leaves behind a legacy of honor, valor and strength and a multitude of connections to people throughout the world who will surely miss his presence and who will be glad he is in a better place

We will advise on Memorial services

I am busy railing against stupidity in the medical profession

We now realize that he was dead as soon as they did the "mini chemo" in October because he was always fragile with Chemo and they gave him just that tad too much and it started the disintegration process that ultimately killed him

Somewhere the base line they have for the limit for people is off - way off
It is something I will publicize over and over until we stop killing people who are already battling for their lives.
It is not fair.

He lost the ability to eat - to digest - and they couldn't tell me why - but the PICU doctors knew why and there was nothing on this Earth that could have stopped the process

The AML did not kill him - the pneumonia did not kill him ---
the chemo did

I loved him dearly - he was the joy of my life and I was so proud of him
