Triple Threat

2004 Story Set

Date: June 17, 2004 (Thursday)
Today we went to the hospital.
I had finished the draft of my databook last night and emailed it.
We did the bag of hydration. 9-12.
They also came and taught me how to hook up a gravity-feed IV bag so I can hydrate him at home and we can skip the drive in (every other day - plus sat and sun off)
Tomorrow I will actually hook him up in the hospital and run it gravity feed and time it - has to be a 2-hour feed.

Then we went home (noon) and I threw lunch at him and drove to PLX.
I did edits, collected email, and went to a databook meeting.
I have fixes (1/2 made already) for the databook so it can go out Friday.
That's a bit fast --- even for me.
Then I drove home (4PM) - Dunbarton bridge again.
I had some cheese, peanut butter and 1 oz of dark chocolate.

After 40 minutes, we got in the car and drove to Foothill College.
Team in Training. My son is an honoree.
I had to do a speech - during stretches. My son hugged lots of people. Mostly women.
He was in a mask - it was windy - he had sun block and an umbrella.
Then we left and came home.
      I am cross-eyed.
1/2 tank of gas used in the Tacoma!

Now I have to discover supper.

My son's room was 82 - rest of house 74.
I opened a window, turned on the big fan to exhaust his room, opened my bedroom window, and cranked up the big air conditioner.
He's down to 80 and dropping.
Since he sits around in boxers, 75 is fine. If I can get there.
Time to ask for two new vents or a room air-conditioner.
I'm sorry. But for $11,000 I want his room cool!

The cat - orange fur ball that he is - kept trying to get in his room.
I had logged onto my computer to check emails when the instant message popped up.
      Cat in room.
He had made it into the window - and then directly into the bathroom, assisted by my foot.
      Ranger is now incarcerated.

Of course, he likes to sleep on top of the bathroom cabinet --- and this morning about 5:30 AM he (Ranger of course) had climbed up and kicked the things up there to the floor.
      Lovely.
Cat now dictates where I can store things.
