2004 Story Set
| Date: July 7, 2004 Yesterday I lost a day - because I did not have my computer with me when I got stuck at the hospital Unexpected. His creatin was 2.6 - must be closer to 1. It is 2.3 today after an IV yesterday and then he had one today - which was not originally scheduled. Each day is a trip over the bridge - about 50 miles of driving - after which I have to haul down the freeway to work. (Another hour.) After I fix him lunch. Needless to say - this means an actual 2 hours in the office. Nice to catch up with my boss. And get a paycheck (deposit tomorrow and cash a check - I get $200 in twenties to handle parking at $5 a day at Stanford and then if I want coffee ($2.98) or a soda ($1.45) etc., etc. I am working on a databook - have three in queue. So I did NOT like getting caught yesterday. They have no concept that people have lives outside of the hospital. The billing at Stanford is fixed from it's departure from normal - now I have to tackle the billing at Lucille Packard (The children's branch) - because they are not billing Medical! YOU MUST DO THIS!!!!! Dummies all!!! It just annots me so much when they screw everything up! And I have my own bills ($98 here and there for a doctor for the emergency room visits - I haven't seen it all). My eye is just fine - so much todo about nothing!!!!! Meanwhile - I actually got on the treadmill yesterday - not today. My hips are screaming at me from leg lifts the day before. My son had left it set at a 1.0 incline - I have asthma - I usually walk flat and incline for the last 1/4 mile. No - I did 3/4 mile at 1 and 1/4 mile at 2 - no wonder I couldn't walk faster than 2.6 MPH!!! I didn't notice - wondered why I was sweating and breathing hard. As an asthmatic I have to be careful about that. Flat I used to do 3.4 - 3.6 mph. It will take some time to get back there. I do know what is wrong with my foot - it's a Planar injury - and the fact it doesn't hurt in high heels was a clue. I need to sit stretching my achillies tendon and the bands on the bottom of the foot. It goes along with the loos of the "cusions" on the bottom of the foot and will lead to bone spurs. I also lost the "cushion" on my tailbone - they had wraps for he foot and special cushions for the butt. Getting old is a bitch. Tomorrow AM for sure then I go to work for awhile and get home later and run an IV bag. I have four of the little monsters in the refridge in his room - 4 days of IV. We were so close to being done!!!!!!! But - we'll get back there. Then he will come off IV again - and then we wait - and then we pull the chest cord out and he goes to clinic. We are doing well. |
